By doing so, we construct a complete and continuous talent development plan to enhance the effectiveness of human capital.


VARIOUS EMPLOYEE WELFARE MEASURES

Far East International Bank creates various employee welfare measures to assist employees in taking care of themselves and their families in all aspects. In order to assist young employees in building families and raising children, Far East International Bank not only provides marriage and childbirth subsidies but also creates friendly parenting measures as below. We sign a concession contract with the childcare institution and provide leave for family care, pregnancy checkups, maternity and paternity. Under the normal working hours of the day, employees can flexibly adjust the starting and ending time of work within 2 hours to take care of family. Besides, in order to assure employees and their families of basic living standards, we plan the insurances which are paid by the company during their tenure and offer complimentary "health insurance" to employees’ spouses and unmarried children under the age of 23. Facing the global pandemic in 2021, we not only make a Work from Home policy but also provide the epidemic prevention insurance to protect employees. Furthermore, in order to have labor and capital share benefits together and to strengthen long-term remuneration, we also set up employee stock ownership trusts, where employees voluntarily allocate part of their salaries and the organization in turn provides partial subsidies to purchase shares of the bank, encouraging employees to share operating results and to achieve long-term savings goals.

EMPLOYEE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

In order to promote the career development of employees, Far East International Bank plans a variety of courses based on various core functions to assist employees in achieving greater working performance. We focus on core-competency training, advanced professional knowledge and skills training and legal & compliance training. Furthermore, we also build digital thinking culture, develop Fintech talents by providing Fintech lectures and computer application training and adopt external learning platforms. Thanks to the long-term investment in employee training and development, the training quality of Far Eastern International Bank has been recognized by the Ministry of Labor and awarded the gold medal for TTQS (Talent Quality-management System). For 18 years in a row, the organization has received subsidies, which totally reach NT$10.3 million, under its “Enterprises Talent Skill Progressive Program”.
In response to the "Blueprint for Developing Taiwan into a Bilingual Nation by 2030", Far Eastern International Bank implements a development plan for improving English skill, offering long-term free online English courses and signing contracts with a number of professional educational institutions to provide employees with preferential learning channels. We establish additional classes for improving English skill and provide online English Apps and online oral courses. Besides, the organization accepts subsidy application for both course and test fees to encourage employees to improve their English proficiency.

FRIENDLY WORKPLACE AND EMPLOYEE PSYCHOLOGY HEALTH MAINTENANCE

New employees receive a guidebook from the first day at Far East International Bank and an assigned employee would guide them to get familiar with the working environment so that they can reduce the feeling of discomfort. The business unit also arranges exclusive counselors for new employees to guide them to integrate into the organizational culture and to establish a sense of belonging and connection. On the other hand, in order to ensure the health of employees, the frequency and budget of employee health examinations provided by our organization are superior to the mandatory requirement. With regard to employee’s health management, the bank arranges occupational medicine physicians to provide medical consultation service in the workplace and hires professional nurses to watch for employees’ mental health maintenance. In addition, we hold various health promotion events, including health lectures, sports club, health management competitions, etc., to create a healthy workplace.

As for employees’ diet nutrition, the headquarters of Far East International Bank has a staff canteen that provides a clean dining environment and healthy meals for employees. Diversified meals are offered for choosing and calorie indications are also provided for consideration. Additionally, in order to build a LOHAS workplace, we also subsidize club with funds to encourage employees to operate leisure or learning clubs to strengthen their bodies, enrich their lives and relieve stress. Through the implementation of the above health promotion measures, Far East International Bank not only creates a healthy workplace but also passes 2020 Sports Enterprise Certification of the Sports Administration, Ministry of Education, and won the Outstanding Healthy Workplace Award of Taipei City Government.
