Corporate Social Responsibility Activities Strengthen Employee Engagement

Novartis Taiwan is aspired to become the most trusted healthcare leader in changing the practice of medicine. We strive to build trust with society and commit to Corporate Responsibility. With this aspiration, Novartis Taiwan has been selected for five consecutive years as the top foreign enterprise group of the CommonWealth Excellence Corporate Social Responsibility Award, and Novartis Taiwan is the only pharma company on the list. For the past 23 years, Novartis Taiwan has committed to numbers of employee volunteer initiatives named Community Partnership Day (CPD). By mobilizing the employees to participate in and experience the acts of care-giving, achievements and glory are shared together. This has become the key to strengthen employee engagement. In addition, Novartis Taiwan is devoted to returning to society through the “Novartis Charity Fundraising program” led by the Novartis Taiwan Charity Committee to encourage employees to make donations. In the past decade, more than 20 charity organizations have benefited from this program. This sets an example for other companies in the pharmaceutical companies to follow.
