Pfizer Taiwan upholds the spirit of continuous innovation and a patient-centered philosophy. In 2021, Pfizer Taiwan and National Health Research Institutes entered into a precision medicine cooperation alliance agreement, officially launching a joint initiative to develop precision cancer treatments in Taiwan. The agreement demonstrates Pfizer’s commits to the promotion of research and development on testing and developing precision medicine treatments for gene mutations that cause cancers. Through this collaboration, the alliance we hope to provide the most effective treatments for cancer patients in Taiwan and enhance Taiwan’s precision medicine development.

Pfizer Taiwan chooses to go beyond statutory employee benefits and offers perks such as annual leave entitlement upon arrival, 12 days of paid sick leave, 10 days of paid special leave, option to leave work 1 hour early every Happy Friday, 10 days of paternity leave and up to 50 days of parental leave for all colleagues to care for children.

We recognize colleagues’ needs for family care and compete work-life balance, thus we offer more flexibility in work. Our employees may apply to choose a different work schedule and/or location to meet personal or family needs. Pfizer Taiwan also provides an employee assistance program, which offers free global and local services and online resources in three aspects – work, family and health, such as individual and family counseling and health care information for colleagues to stay healthy in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility is a vital element of Pfizer's business philosophy. Since its establishment, Pfizer Taiwan has devoted its support towards social welfare, emergency relief, minorities, non-profit organizations, health promotion and disease prevention. Every year end, Pfizer Taiwan volunteers work with Hongdao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation to visit elderly living alone and spend time with them to care and provide emotional supports. We have also been working with the Sunshine Foundation to hold charity sale of the artwork of children who have suffered severe burns and facial injuries to support their physical rehabilitation, psychological counseling, and preventive advocacy services. Notably, Pfizer Taiwan is the first company to introduce the artwork of the injured children into the office for exhibition. We hope that with our continuous efforts, we can help each little sunshine child grow up as confident and happy individuals! In addition, we have also collaborated with the World Peace Association since 2012 to support nutritional breakfast plans for disadvantaged children. Pfizer Taiwan will continue to focus on more areas to fulfill its social responsibilities.
